Sometimes using real people to launch an attack can be especially effective. This ad for Congressman Joe Donnelly is a rarity in that it shows ordinary voters talking directly to Donnelly’s opponenrt about Social Security. Because of this ad and others like it, Rep. Donnelly became the only one of 16 targeted Democrats in the Midwest to win re-election in 2010.
